A Brief Introduction to the Department
Educational objectives
We educate and train our
undergraduate students for the purpose of turning them into professionals with
an international perspective and skills in foreign languages, international
business, and other practical fields in international trade and business. Our graduate
students, on the other hand, are expected to become high-end business
professionals and managers with an international perspective.
Orientations
of profession and employment
1. The curriculum planning
of our department is based on two directions: international trade and
international business.
2. Major channels for
further academic training:
Master and doctoral
programs in graduate Institutes of business, management, finance, and many other
fields.
3. Major channels for
career development:
l Running one’s own
business or working in trading companies, customs agencies, shipping companies,
or general companies, especially jobs related to marketing, purchasing,
secretarial work, and public relations.
l Export-Import
Banking, foreign exchange departments of general commercial banks, and general
business sectors.
l Bureau of Foreign Trade, Foreign
Trade Associations, and other public offices; the purchasing department of the
Materials Bureau, the Central Trust of China, and other similar government
units.
